SUPPORTIVE VISIT TO ACNHA BY THE NAOWA NATIONAL PRESIDENT, MRS SALAMATU F YAHAYA
Ag CMD of Army Command and NAOWA Hospital, Col O Adole received the NAOWA National President (NAOWA NP), Mrs Salamatu F Yahaya on a hospital supportive visit. She was updated on the progress of the special COAS Intervention programs at the hospital, particularly in the newly established neonatal intensive care unit which she also supported at inception with donations of incubators.
The unit has successfully managed several preterm babies including a very low birth weight (VLBW) baby which was delivered at 25 weeks weighing just 0.6kg. The VLBW baby has done well and is now very active at 1.7kg. The NAOWA President provided words of encouragement and moral support to the mother of the baby. She also visited other newly established units like the Adult intensive care unit and the Dialysis unit.
The 3 units are part of a number of new services introduced in the hospital as a result of the special interventions by the COAS, Lt Gen F Yahaya at the hospital aimed at improving the standard and range of services. Mrs Yahaya lauded the development and commended the staff.
The Army Command and NAOWA Hospital is open to all civilians.
