Colonel Patrick Edet Ebong is a Nurse by profession with specialty in Ophthalmic Nursing. He has B.Sc in Psychology from University of Ibadan, Masters in Public Health, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Osogbo and also Diploma in Criminal Justice Administration, University of Lagos. He is an Alumni of Administrative Staff College of Nigeria.
He has served the nation in the Nigerian Army in various capacities, holding staff, security, administrative and operational appointments, coordination and Supervision of personnel in various Military Hospitals across the nation as well as mission areas such as Liberia. He rose to the position of Chief Nursing Superintendent before retirement.
Col PE Ebong has attended several courses like PMTCT of HIV, Barracks Health care education, Human Resource Management, Organizational Security Management, Health Maintenance Organizational operations and many more. Because of his work and wealth of knowledge he has been decorated with medals like FORCES SERVICE STAR (FSS), MERITORIOUS SERVICE STAR (MSS) SILVER JUBILEE MEDAL (SJM), GOLDEN JUBILEE MEDAL (GJM), CENTENARY MEDAL (CM) and UNITED NATIONS MEDAL (UNM), best student in Ophthalmic Nursing research 1990 university of Benin. He retired from the Nigerian Army May 2015 and re-engaged as Chief Nursing consultant in ACNHA. He is the Chairman Procurement Committee and the Acting Director of Administration of the Hospital.
