Major General Ikechukwu B.J Okeke (retired) is a graduate of University of Ibadan where he obtained his MB;BS degree in 1986. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Medical College in Surgery (FMCS) and specialized in General Surgery. He rose to the position of Chief Consultant Surgeon in the Nigerian Army before his retirement in Mar 2019.
Dr Okeke is a highly committed and compassionate medical doctor and vastly experienced surgeon. He has been involved in various military peacekeeping and combat missions where he gained much skills in trauma and gunshot injuries management. He was also the Director of 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital as well as Consultant General Surgeon. He served as an officer in Nigerian Army rising to the rank of Major General and also Commander of the Nigerian Army Medical Corps before his voluntary retirement in March 2019.
Dr Okeke was the first Chief Medical Director(CMD) of Army Command and NAOWA Hospital, Abuja and now serves as the Chief Consultant General Surgeon of the hospital. He can be contacted for appointments through the Hospital website or official phone numbers.
