PROFILE OF BRIG GEN IA ENWUCHOLA
Brigadier General IA Enwuchola was born on 4 June 1972 in Ibaji local government area of Kogi State. He was commissioned into Nigerian Army on 4 March 2000 as a member of Direct Regular Course 10 into the Nigerian Army Medical Corps.
He has attended several Military and Civil courses. These courses include the Young Officers’ Course (Medical), Senior Executive Management Course, Training on PMTCT, Management of opportunistic infections, Physicians course on management of HIV and Advanced ART, Counseling in HIV/AIDS, Capacity training in HIV/AIDS, Training on International Care of TB, EID in HIV, Disease outbreak management and investigation, Leadership and Management in Health, Certificate Course on Geriatric Medicine, Residency training in Family Medicine. Brig Gen IA Enwuchola attended tge Rivers State College of Arts and Science and the prestigious University of Ibadan where he baggednhis Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor if Surgery (MBBS). Brig Gen IA Enwuchola is a Fellow of the West African College of Physicians (FWAP) in Family Medicine. He also holds a Certificate in Management and Leadership in Health from the University of Washington as well as a Certificate in Geriatric Medicine from the University of Ibadan.
Professionally, Brig Gen Enwuchola is a member of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria and the Geriatrician Association of Nigeria.
Brigadier General Enwuchola proved himself as a professional soldier and earned his promotions when due, most recent of which was his promotion to the rank of Brigadier General on 3 Sep 2023. In the course of Brigadier General Enwochuloa’s career spanning over two decades, he has held several appointments including House Officer at 68NARHY; RMO at both 341 AR and 81 BN; CO at 32 BMC, 4 BMC, 34 BMC, 2 BMC; Registrar Family Medicine at 44NARHK, Physician to COAS at the Army Headquarters (AHQ) between 2016 – 2021; Specialist Family Physician at Army Command and NAOWA Hospital (ACNHA) between 2021 – 2022 before assuming office as the AG Commander of 3 DMSH between 2022 – 2023 and Director, Military Hospital Port Harcourt (MHPH) until his recent appointment as the 3rd CMD of ACNHA. Brig Gen IA Enwuchola has also been engaged internationally at the United Nations foreign mission (UNAMSIL) in 2004.
In recognition of his dedication to duties, He was bestowed with the following honours and awards namely; Forces Service Star, Meritorious Service Star, Command Medal, Field Command Medal, General Operations Medal, United Nations Mission To Sierra Leone Medal, Golden Jubilee Medal and the Centenary Medal.
Brigadier General Innocent Alolo Enwuchola is happiliy married and blessed with 4 boys and at his leisure, enjoys reading and traveling.
