Army Command and NAOWA Hospital in Top Gears as CMD Solicits Synergy

The Chief Medical Director (CMD), Army Command and NAOWA Hospital Abuja (ACNHA), Maj Gen Ikechukwu Okeke (rtd) has solicited for synergy among sister health care providers within the military circle in Abuja. He made the call recently when he paid a courtesy visit to Commanders, heads of military and para military establishments within Abuja and environs.
He said the newly established Army Command and NAOWA Hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art medical facilities, committed and dedicated experts offering quality healthcare service and treatment to prospective patients.
The CMD noted that the hospital which had already been receiving referral cases from military, para military and civil hospitals in Abuja and environs, would help in reducing challenges faced during the referral of personnel to distant tertiary hospitals.
He added that the hospital has different admission rooms which include the VIP suites, private wards (single and double rooms) and general wards for adults (male and female), children ward, Obstetrics and Gynecology wards.
Some of the personalities visited included; the Chief of Defence Intelligence, Air Vice Marshal MS Usman, Commander Defence Headquarters Garrison, Maj Gen KAY Ishiyaku, Commander Army Headquarters Garrison, Maj Gen JGK Myam, Commandant Army War College, Maj Gen C Ofoche, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Defence Health Maintenance Limited Surgeon Commodore AA Abdullahi (Rtd), Director Ministry of Defence Health Implementation Programme Brig Gen NAE Okeji (Rtd), Director Medical Services Navy, Surgeon Rear Admiral LM Adams. Others are Commander Defence Headquarters Medical Centre and Commander Guards Brigade.
In their separate responses, they expressed delight over the state-of-the-art medical facilities available at the hospital adding that it would boost the reputation of Army and NAOWA noting that it is a step in the right direction and one of the greatest assets to the Armed Forces.
They commended the COAS and NAOWA president for the initiative and making the hospital a secondary hospital and urged the CMD and staff to ensure that the purpose for the hospital is not defeated.
